Full Market Report:
The Indian stock market ended the week on a cautious note, closing slightly lower on Friday, November 7, 2025. This marked the third straight day of losses for the benchmark indices.
The session began on a weak footing as global markets tumbled following a sell-off in US tech and AI-related stocks overnight. The Sensex opened lower and fell nearly 640 points to touch 82,670.95, while the Nifty hit an intraday low of 25,318.45.
However, in the second half of the session, domestic investors stepped in with strong buying in select financial, PSU bank, and metal stocks, helping the market recover sharply from its lows.
Institutional activity data showed that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continued to book profits, remaining net sellers worth ₹3,263.21 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) turned the tide by purchasing equities worth ₹5,283.91 crore on a net basis.
Sector-wise, FMCG, IT, and tech stocks dragged the market, while financial and metal sectors provided much-needed support. Broader market performance remained mixed, with the Nifty Midcap 100 closing higher and the Nifty Smallcap 100 ending slightly lower.
Friday’s trade showcased the resilience of the Indian market amid global volatility. Although FIIs remained sellers, strong DII inflows highlighted continued confidence in domestic fundamentals. The market’s sharp rebound from intraday lows suggests that investors are using dips as buying opportunities.
Heading into next week, traders will keep a close eye on global market trends, inflation data, and institutional flows for short-term direction.
