President Joe Biden is now a proud great-grandfather! His granddaughter Naomi Biden welcomed her first baby with her husband, Peter Neal, on January 8th.
The little boy, named William Brannon Neal IV, was born weighing 10 pounds, 4 ounces. First Lady Jill Biden shared the joyful news on Instagram, along with a sweet photo of her and the president holding their great-grandson.

Naomi, the daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle, first announced her pregnancy on Election Day last year. She posted a mirror selfie showing her baby bump, decorated with a voting sticker.
President Biden spoke about becoming a great-grandparent in an interview, saying, "I’m about to be a great-grandfather, Jesus God." He also mentioned that Naomi planned to deliver her baby via c-section.
Naomi and Peter Neal, both lawyers, met in 2018 through a mutual friend in New York City. After three years of dating, Peter proposed in September 2021.
In November 2022, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House. It was a historic event as it marked the first wedding of a sitting president’s grandchild held at the White House.

During a press conference in Los Angeles about the California fires, President Biden proudly announced the birth of his great-grandson. He revealed that he had visited Cedars-Sinai Hospital earlier that day to meet the new baby.
“The good news is I’m a great-grandfather as of today,” he shared with reporters.
Congratulations to Naomi and Peter on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy!
