Kristen, 41, opened up about her struggles with fertility. After experiencing a pregnancy loss last year, she and Luke decided to start trying again in early 2024. Knowing age could be a factor, they consulted a fertility specialist in late summer.

The couple learned about their options and decided to proceed with IUI (intrauterine insemination). Kristen said the process included hormone shots and preparing her body for the procedure.

Two weeks after the IUI, Kristen received the life-changing news: she was pregnant! She recalled feeling “relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited, and nervous.”

Luke’s reaction was pure joy. "He wasn’t surprised, but he was beyond excited,” Kristen said. Their baby is due in June, and they couldn’t be happier to grow their family.

Kristen and Luke got engaged in September 2024 while filming the second season of The Valley. Luke proposed during a romantic boat ride in Maui, Hawaii.

The couple has decided to prioritize having children before planning their wedding. Kristen shared on their podcast, Balancing Act, that they are “on the baby train” and will plan their wedding later.

Kristen admitted she was initially concerned about conceiving due to her age. However, her doctor reassured her that everything looked good, encouraging them to try for a few months before exploring other options.

She also credited a psychic who predicted she would have a baby boy between the ages of 41 and 42. This gave Kristen hope and confidence to focus on her journey.

Kristen and Luke began dating in 2022 after meeting at a friend’s wedding. Their love has only grown stronger, and now they’re thrilled to welcome their first child.
