Gal Gadot, known for her iconic role as Wonder Woman, has opened up about a life-threatening health scare during her fourth pregnancy.
In an emotional Instagram post, she revealed that she experienced a massive blood clot in her brain while she was eight months pregnant.
In February 2024, Gadot started experiencing severe headaches that confined her to bed. Concerned, she underwent an MRI that revealed a massive blood clot in her brain. This condition, called Cerebral Venous Thrombosis (CVT), is a rare but serious medical issue that can occur during pregnancy due to elevated estrogen levels.

Emergency Surgery and a New Life
Upon discovering the blood clot, Gadot was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. During this challenging time, her daughter Ori was born. Gadot explained that Ori’s name, meaning “my light” in Hebrew, was deeply symbolic.
“Before the surgery, I told my husband Jaron that our daughter would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel,” she shared.
Gadot has since made a full recovery. Reflecting on her journey, she expressed her gratitude for the medical team that saved her life. She emphasized the importance of listening to our bodies.
