The Yellowjackets star, 29, welcomed her first baby, a boy, with husband Christian DeAnda on New Year’s Eve. The baby arrived just before the clock struck midnight. Samantha announced the joyful news with a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, “And just like that…my world got brighter.”

Samantha shared a touching black-and-white photo of her newborn’s tiny hand holding her finger. The actress first announced her pregnancy in August and revealed in September that she was expecting a baby boy.

Though she has not shared her son’s name yet, Samantha and Christian are overjoyed to start their journey as parents.

During her pregnancy, Samantha shared that her baby would be born with a cleft lip and possibly a cleft palate. In a candid TikTok video, she explained that the news came as a surprise since there was no family history of the condition.

“The biggest thing we want is for our baby to be happy and healthy,” Samantha said, showing her strength and love as a mom.

Before her son’s arrival, Samantha reflected on her pregnancy with an emotional message. “Through every ER visit, bleeding, pain, sickness, and tear shed during your time in my womb, I can’t help but be grateful,” she wrote.
